One of the first paintings done of a bee NOT seen in our own yard or immediate neighborhood-- this honeybee was seen and photographed at a delightful butterfly garden in
Elkton, Oregon when we passed through this summer. I highly recommend a visit if you find yourself in the Umpqua Valley between Memorial Day and Labor Day (they're only open when the high school students who work there are out of school.)
